Lookbook - October 2014

Since it is now mid-October, I thought I would talk about some of the fashion items I have been loving throughout the month.
This is a weird one to start off with but I'll proceed to go with it nonetheless! I have absolutely been loving black lately and pretty much crave black everything. I've always been a major black fan but this summer I opted for more white and taupe garments, as I find lighter colours more appealing in warmer weather. Since it is gradually getting cooler outside, my colour palette has naturally changed to accompany the weather. Black is elegant, smart, and chic; I just simply can't get enough of it!
If you had asked me a few months ago if I liked peplum tops, my answer would have been an immediate "no". However, as recent as in the past week I've been really liking peplum tops. I think a really great long sleeved white or black peplum top paired with skinny jeans, loafers or sandals, and a great necklace, would make such a brilliant look. One of which I intend on trying out this autumn.
As you all know from my past article, I am in dire need of everything Gemma Ward and Country Road. I loved everything in the Summer Wonder collection and therefore, needed to add at least one photo to my October lookbook reinforcing the loveliness.
Ripped jeans is another item I have been loving this month, yet unfortunately don't possess a pair of my own. Ripped black skinny jeans are a dream and have definitely made my lust list, as of this month.
Accessory-wise I posted two photos of items that I personally have been getting heaps of use from during October. The first being my Longchamp backpack (not pictured above) and secondly my Kisherman sandals by New Look (picture above is courtesy of Chanel). I have found my Longchamp bag to ultimately be so convenient. It's great because I never have to worry about anyone stealing anything from my bag, as I would definitely feel it, and also because I never get that awkward one-sided shoulder pain, as result of shopping for too long. If you don't have a chic little backpack yet, then I would totally recommend investing in one, as they are so efficient!
As I mentioned earlier, I have been loving my Kisherman sandals. They are the perfect summer to autumn transitional shoe, as they are still a sandal, yet are close-toed. Paired with a skirt in warmer weather or with skinny jeans in cooler weather, they never fail to look appropriate for the season. As an indecisive individual, I can't help but appreciate such an easy shoe.

Liebe Grüße,
Kirsten
